Duplicate Cleaner For iPhoto App Reviews

I followed the directions as written, duplicates were pulled up and I selected all that I wanted to delete. I opened Photos and again followed the steps indicated. I like that you are given ample opportunity to NOT make a mistake and delete what you didn’t want to. This app worked fine for me.

Used this app to clean up a new consolidation of my wife and I’s separate libraries and it is fantastic. Worked great with the new Photos app.

Saved me 700MB and annoying dup’s when I accidentally imported from my phone twice.

I tried a couple of apps like this. But none of them works until I got this one. Awesome.

This app did not work at all. Re-installed once to give it another shot with no luck. Keeps saying “no duplicates found,” meanwhile I’m still deleting them manually.

i ending up merging several iphot libraries together once i upgraded my hard drive and that in turn created a bonch of duplicates. This app selected them all and helped save me 9GB (yes gigs). Im a photographer and the those Nikon Raw files are no joke in size. So greatful for this app!

LOL! Without this I would have been at my PC trying to pick out 6,000 inages that were in fact known duplicates to me. I think I resolved this in about 3 mins at most. Awesome App.

I have thousands of duplicates. The app only found 19!

I dont normally write reviews but I, I was so impressed. It wroked so well! It went through all 48,000 photos and found all the duplicates then it pre selects them and then you can delete them. It does not take much time and it does it seamlessly. I am impressed. It is also free! Highly Recommend.

I am not sure what has happened to the apple app store. this is the most blatent example of a rip off i have ever seen. this app found 1 [one] dup photo and then told me i had a virus on my mac that they would remove for a hundred and so dollars, please stay away from this company. and i have no other app to recommend just do it manually

Somehow so many of my photos got duplicated or even triplicated. I was going through one by one deleting them and then found this app. About a minute it found 522 duplicates and poof they were gone!

I don’t normally write reviews, but I wanted to alert fellow users that this app makes it extremely difficult to remove mass photos from any folder **except** iPhoto. If your duplicates are in both personal folders and iPhoto, you have to hand select each one. Terrible functionality, built only to force users to use iPhoto instead of their own folders.

Took all of 60 seconds to download, scan my photo library and eliminate dupes. You can double check manually or set automatic settings in preferences. Great app.

It adds your photo library and then scans for duplicates and then nothing happens. A blank box popped up on my screen, that’s it. It says “Duplicate Cleaner for iPhoto” with nothing in the box, no photos, no buttons to click, nothing. I’m uninstalling it now. Not at all worth the few minutes I spent installing it.

I am usually skeptical of these types of apps, especially free ones, but after reading the reviews I decided to give it a try. It was extremely easy to use and worked PERFECTLY on the very first try. It scanned 5000 photos in about 10 seconds. I was able to remove 870 photos and save 1.78GB of space in less than 5 minutes. The app does a fantastic job of showing you what is a duplicate and what will be deleted. It even uses a double confirmation sequence to make you feel at ease about deleting your precious photos. Nice job on this app guys!

I decided to give this a try as I was manually trying to clean out duplicates. After adding my library, I clicked scan for duplicates, and was told there are no duplicates. I know this is false because I am currently looking at the duplicates in my library.

The app shows up in “Updates” and always has an error message! Cannot “Uninstall” it either. I do NOT recommend this app.

It is the best software i’ve ever seen. what a wondeful job it does. Its really quick like super fast rocket. I don’t have words to say. Its just amazing. If we have to do manually it will take hours. It saved my 2.1 gb space in less than a minute. it shows you the preview before deleting. wondeful just go for it.

Reasonably fast and does a great number of comparisims at one time. It also leves a way to recover deletions if needed.

Looking to carefully delete your duplicate photos without causing chaos? for 99c or less you can do it with this app. Works fast like the other review said… 35,000 pics scanned in about 70 seconds. Easy to use.. and if you want to get the pro version, its 99c. ( deal!) I have tried about 5 other programs for ipad, iphone etc but this is the easiest and secure i have found.
